Sutter Medical Foundation Opens Occupational and Hand Therapy Program in Jackson
Jackson, Calif. – Sutter Medical Foundation (SMF) will offer occupational and hand therapy services at 815 Court Street, Suite 5, in Jackson beginning Jan. 5, 2015.
This program offers personalized therapy using the latest equipment and most effective treatment approaches. Susan Wright, occupational therapist, works with patients to identify specific rehabilitation goals that help them to return to their daily activities. Children, adolescents, adults and seniors will have access to the following services locally:
- Manual therapy
- Soft tissue and joint mobilization
- Sports injury rehabilitation
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- Hand therapy
- Customized splinting
- Activities of daily living (ADL)/Self care
- Neurological rehabilitation
- Wound care of upper extremity
- Therapeutic exercise
“We’re very excited to offer this program because it brings a specialized rehabilitation therapy service to residents locally.” said Pat Blair, Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Regional Executive for Rehabilitation Services. “We’re constantly looking for ways to offer our community the health care options it needs, and this is another great example of Sutter Medical Foundation meeting the needs of our patients.”
Local residents interested in learning more about the program should ask their primary care physician about rehabilitation therapies, and whether the program could benefit their health. Residents and physicians are also invited to speak directly with the therapist by calling 209-257-7515 to learn more about the services.
