Vegetation Fire On Shake Ridge Road
At approximately 4:28pm yesterday
afternoon a vegetation fire was reported at 17252 Shake Ridge Road at Stone Jug
Road. According to Camino Dispatch the small grass fire was contained quickly.
Local Fire Crews responded with 5 engines and a dozer.

Regulating Sales of Handgun Ammunition
Stating he is responding to
a surge of gun violence across the state and rising gang violence involving
firearms, Assistant Assembly Majority Leader Kevin de León last week announced the introduction
of legislation, AB 362, to for the first time, regulate handgun ammunition
sales in California. Currently, there are no regulations concerning the
distribution and sale of handgun ammunition.

Lodi Murder Victim Identified As Auburn Woman
Lodi officials have released the name of the
murder victim that was transported from Lodi to the Defender grade area earlier
this week by her boyfriend and his mother.

Smokey Garbage Can Fire Gets A Big Response
Yesterday just before noon sirens whaled through
Jackson and
Pine Grove as fire and emergency personnel responded to a structure fire on Debbie Lane,
located off of East Clinton Rd.
An Amador County Sheriff’s Deputy says that smoke was showing from the attic of
the home. Upon arrival, fire crews investigated the source of the smoke and
discovered a fire in a garbage can- possibly started by a discarded cigarette

CHP Reports: 4 Motorcycle Accidents Over Weekend
The last couple of weekends Amador County
roadways have been fairly quiet, but by the time Friday rolled around it was clear
that this weekend would be different. The first accident to be reported
occurred on Friday at 11:15am on Hwy. 88 and Van De Hei Ranch Road.
