The California Highway Patrol report an accident that occurred on Monday in Fiddletown has been released. The Amador County Board of Supervisors has adjusted their November meeting schedule to accommodate holidays and other fall break vacations and has announced they will meet only once this month. According to the Jackson Lions Club over 750 people attended the annual Halloween Parade and giveaway sponsored by the Jackson Lions. Yesterday afternoon 8 local heroes were recognized in their life saving efforts to rescue three residents that were trapped in a burning home. On August 2, 2006 firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire at 17032 Pine Needle Drive in the Buckhorn area. Discussions concerning the County’s involvement with Amador Regional Sanitation Authority appeared on the Board of Supervisor’s agenda yesterday. County Administrative Officer Patrick Blacklock presented the item and pointed out that the County has had an ongoing discussion whether or not the County should remain a member of ARSA because the County no longer operates wastewater systems. A reminder notice from the Amador County Elections department for Voters who vote at the Sutter Terrace Mobile Home Park. The election department wants all these citizens to be aware that the construction of the bypass road on State Hwy 49 has closed the entrance from highway 49. Voters must use Sutter Hill Road, to Bryson Drive to Del Vista to enter the mobile home park.
