The filing period for the primary in June ended at 5 p.m. Friday, March 10 with only the incumbents filing. All three candidates will be on the June primary ballot, and as Forster said Tuesday in the supervisor meeting, barring a strong write-in candidate, the three will be on the Board for the next four years, starting in 2013.

Boitano enters his sixth term on the board and 21st year, having served as Supervisor since 1993, with this being his fifth reelection. District 4 includes Sutter Creek and parts of the unincorporated Pine Grove area.

Plasse will be entering his second term and was first elected in 2008 and took office in 2009. He enters his fifth year representing District 1, which includes Jackson, part of Martell and unincorporated areas up to Pine Grove.

Forster will enter his fourth consecutive term in 2013, and was first elected in 2000, and enters his 13th year representing District 2, including Ione and Part of Sutter Creek, with the unincorporated areas of Buena Vista, Camanche Village and Camanche North Shore.
