Gloria was accompanied by Gregory Pickett, 53, of Moreno Valley.  Working on a tip from prison sources, ACCNET had secured a search warrant on Gloria Mitchell. In Mitchell’s bra, officers found 4 balloons of heroin wrapped in a Butterfinger candy bar wrapper. The approximately six grams of heroin in the balloons was valued at about $2,900. Investigators found packaging materials and a receipt for the purchase of two Butterfinger candy bars and Super Glue in Mitchell’s car. Gregory Pickett and Gloria Mitchell were arrested for several drug-related charges and for bringing a controlled substance into a correctional facility. Bail was set at $15,000.00 for both. Gloria’s son, inmate Michael Mitchell was arrested and charged with conspiracy and for bringing a controlled substance into a correctional facility. Michael Mitchell remains in the custody of Mule Creek State Prison.
