JACKSON, CA – Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort announced today that its 26th Annual Spring Charity Golf Classic, held at Rancho Murieta Golf Course last month, raised more than $25,000 in proceeds that will directly benefit the Amador County Park Restoration Project.
In 2012, the Jackson Band of Miwuk Indians and Amador County Recreation Agency agreed to join hands in an effort to rebuild and restore the parks in Amador County for the children and families of their community. Since then, Mollie Joyce Park, Volcano Park and Detert Park have been completely renovated.
“We are so pleased with the results of this year’s Charity Golf Tournament and would like to thank all of the supporting sponsors for their charitable efforts,” said Rich Hoffman, CEO of Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort. “The Tribe is thrilled to continue to enhance our community by improving the conditions of surrounding parks.”
Park Restoration workers are currently restoring Chaw’se Indian Grinding Rock, State Park and are accepting donations to help rebuild the sacred Round House and outlying areas.
