ROTARY OF IONE SHOW & SHINE EVENT
WILL FEATURE OVER 300 ENTRANTS
IONE,CA—May 15, 2014—Hot rods, trucks and vintage trailers are registered for the upcoming May 31st Car and Air Show to be held at Eagle’s Nest Airport in Ione, CA. To date, there are over 300 vehicles pre-registered, with more expected. Visitors to this event will view a variety of cars in over 20 major categories. At 2:45 PM that day, some lucky person will win a ride at the famous WWII P-51 Mustang aircraft. Tickets can be purchased at the event or before at American River Bank and Clark’s Corner in Ione, and JB Awards in Jackson, CA. You must be present to win. An airshow is planned with vintage aircraft from Saunders Aeronautics.
Wine tasting will be available from five Amador County wineries. They will include, Tanis Vineyards, Wine Tree Farm Winery, Bray Vineyards, Distant Cellars and Nua Dair Vineyards. Commemorative wine glasses for tasting will be on sale for $5 each. Also available are Show & Shine t-shirts for men, women and children. Food vendors will be serving a pancake breakfast, hot dogs, hamburgers, beans, tri-tip sandwiches, kettle korn, Jamba Juice smoothies, ice cream sundaes, sno-cones, adult drinks, beer, wine, soda and water. Merchandise vendors will also be on sight.
Cost to the public is $5 a car. Show cars pre-registration is $25 or $ 30 the day of show. For event information, go to www.ionerotary.com, or call Dave Wardall at 209-274-9160. All proceeds will go to youth organizations, the Amador County Interfaith Food Bank and other non-profit organizations.
