American Red Cross in Amador County

The Amador Red Cross will host an afternoon of vintage Red Cross videos depicting shelters and other care at major disasters. The videos will be shown Saturday, February 21st. at 2 PM at the Rollingwood Mobile Home Park Clubhouse. This is at 20 Rollingwood Dr., just off New York Ranch Rd.

Not only can you learn how to become a Red Cross Volunteer, but you can learn Hands Only CPR. One quarter of Americans say they have been in a situation where someone needed CPR. If you were one of them would you know what to do? Studies have shown that using Hands Only CPR can make a life-saving difference when someone suffers from sudden cardiac arrest. Hands only CPR is a technique involving no mouth-to-mouth contact and can be learned in as little as 30 minutes. The Amador Red Cross will be teaching the Hands Only CPR method of life saving along with the correct method to handle a choking infant
