Amador Water Agency plans groundbreaking for the Gravity Supply Line on October 10th

A Groundbreaking Event for the Gravity Supply Line, will be held Thursday, October 10, 11:00 a.m. at the Buckhorn Water Treatment Plant, 26723 Hwy 88, Pioneer.

AWA Directors, Upcountry Water District Representatives, USDA and PG&E Officials, along with Amador County Supervisors, and Construction Contractors will be participating in the event. The New Gravity supply Water delivery system in the upcountry will be more reliable by eliminating power interruptions and equipment failures that affect water delivery. The GSL will replace the current aging pumped raw water delivery system on Amador County’s upcountry Central Amador Water Project. The new gravity-fed pipeline will dramatically reduce operating costs to ratepayers by eliminating power costs for pumping.

To attend the event Travel east on Hwy 88, turn at the first driveway on the left past PayLess Market/ Meadow Vista Drive in Buckhorn. Watch for parking signs. Refreshments will be served. For further information contact Gene Mancebo GM AWA at 223-3018.
