On April 21, 2014 at approximately 2230 hours, Katherine Amelia Hagyard called the Amador County Sheriff’s Office to report her husband, 79 year old Warren Alford Hagyard, of Pioneer, missing. Katherine told deputies that Warren was last seen leaving his son’s residence in Elk Grove at approximately 1500 hours. Katherine described Warren as being 6’1” tall, weighing 170 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. She stated Warren was driving his blue 2006 Honda Civic, California License 5UJM962.
After the preliminary investigation failed to locate Warren, Amador County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted the California Highway Patrol and requested a “Silver Alert” activation due to Warren’s qualifying medical conditions.
Follow up investigation conducted by Amador County Sheriff’s Detectives identified that Warren’s credit card was utilized on April 21, 2014 at approximately 2300 hours at a gas station in Colfax. At the request of Amador County Sheriff’s Detectives, Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies reviewed surveillance video from the gas station which showed a person matching the description of Warren, fueling a blue Honda. The subject in the video did not appear to be in distress. Upon interviewing the clerk that assisted the subject, he reported that the subject did seem somewhat confused but did not ask for any assistance.
At this time, Warren has still not been located. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Warren is asked to contact the Amador County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 223-6500
