The Council will be constructing the value-added landscaping and green environment extras for the actual building. The proposed construction for the project will not begin until 2008, but the fund-raising campaign will begin soon. According to Mary Vogt, Pine Grove Council member the idea for the new Fire House and Community Services Building was a natural given the ownership of the property by the fire district. For the Town Council’s part- the goal is raise 100,000 dollars for outside improvements and technology for the interior of the buildings. Also important to the Council is to keep the building green, an environmentally friendly building. According to Supervisor Elect Ted Novelli “We’ve come along ways in the Amador Fire Protection Dist. I remember when there was one fire truck for the entire area. I feel privileged to be at this ceremony for a new Upcountry community safety center”.
