Miss Amador- 6 Contestants Compete

There have already been some changes announced to the Amador County Fair for this year and one of those is the return of the Miss Amador Pageant to Thursday night, the opening night of the fair. This year there will be six candidates for the crown taking the stage at 8pm on Thursday July 26th at the Bandstand, known as the Central House Stage.

The candidates include 17 year old Courtney Anderson, 17 year old Arieal Kanze, 17 year old Cassie Ding, 18 year old Kevlyn Walsh, 17 year old Jacey Dewey and finally 17 year old Brittany Vincini. The contestants made their debut in last weekend’s Italian Picnic Parade. Young women ages 16 to 23 have the opportunity to compete for scholarships and to represent Amador County and the fair as ambassadors throughout the year. The women compete in the areas of community service and fair experience, a personal and fair industry interview focusing on the entrant's sense of value, attitudes, goals and aspirations, communication skills before a live audience and an on-stage presentation.
