CHP Reports 3 Accidents On Amador County Roads yesterday, 2 Involve Motorcyclists
The CHP reports that Amador County
roadways saw a rash of motorcycle accidents Monday with two out of three
accidents reported involving motorcycles. This rash of accidents came after an
unusually quiet weekend. The
first accident was reported around 6:10 am on Sugar Pine Drive after Thomas Evans of
Pioneer swerved to avoid a deer that was in the roadway.
According to Officer Cheryl Wilburn’s report,
Evans 1991 Honda left the roadway and overturned. His injuries were listed by
the CHP as minor. Around 11:45 am Officer Mike LeMasters was called to the
scene of a solo vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Camanche Parkway North. Upon Officer

Winston Wickerson of Stockton
was found with moderate injuries after driving too fast around a curve in the
roadway and loosing control of this 2006 Suzuki. He was transported to Lodi memorial Hospital.
Around 1:30 pm Monday another single collision motorcycle involved accident was
reported on Hwy 88 near Kirkwood.
According to Officer Drake Wilburn’s report 67 year old James Chase of Sunnyvale was traveling eastbound on 88 when
he fell asleep at the wheel of his 1995 Harley. He left the roadway and
according to the report, woke up in a ditch. Chase had only minor injuries.
