Law enforcement and emergency personnel raced to the scene of a vehicle reported in the water near the Camanche Gun Club Sunday afternoon. The first Amador County Sheriff’s Deputy on scene reported that the vehicle was located down a 150 foot embankment in the water. CalFire Camino dispatch called for help from a Reach helicopter- and Jackson Valley fire and rescue personnel, CalFire, and CHP all headed to the scene. Once the deputy was able to reach the vehicle it was evident that the vehicle was unoccupied and apparently registered to a man out of Lodi. No word yet on how the vehicle ended up in Camanche although an investigation is pending
