Recycle Oil Event Scheduled for this Saturday

slide6Do you change your own oil?  Do you have used oil filters?  Did you know that you can recycle them along with your motor oil at ATI Parts? Bring your used oil filter to A-T-I Parts in Sutter Creek on Saturday, August 25 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and receive a FREE oil & filter recycling container and $6 off your purchase of a new oil filter!

Recyclers will also receive a FREE shop rag, oil funnel, pen, and information on how to properly recycle used oil and filters.  The FREE container and filter offer is valid only for the specified date, time, and place listed, so bring your oil filter in on Saturday, August 25th..  Offer is limited to the first 50 individuals.

And just to keep in mind, oil filters should never be thrown in the trash because they can contain traceable amounts of oil. The steel in used oil filters can be recycled to make new steel products, such as cans, cars, appliances, and construction rebar. Recycling all the filters sold annually in the United States would result in the recovery of about 160,000 tons of steel, or enough steel to make 16 new stadiums the size of Atlanta's Olympic Stadium. You can recycle your used oil & oil filters at A-T-I Parts for FREE everyday. Residents can call Amador County Waste Management Department at (209) 209-223-6429 or 1-800-CLEANUP.  You can also visit for more information.
