Intern Youth Minister Enters Plea Agreement

slide2 District Attorney Todd Riebe says former Youth Intern Minister John Magsayo has entered into a guilty plea to 2 felony counts of oral copulation of minors, under the age of 16 and 18 respectively. Magsayo, will for his plea, receive 5 years of felony probation with several terms and conditions. The conditions include 270-days to be served in the Amador County jail and a 90-day work program. Also, included in the conditions are that Magsayo attend and complete a 90-day diagnostic program with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, a separate counseling program and a requirement that Magsayo stay away from the victims and not be alone with minors in general. Magsayo will be remanded into custody on November 5th to begin the 90 day diagnostic program. A sentencing date for the rest of the terms of the agreement will be set once the diagnostic program has been completed.
