Government 101 Workshops For the Public,, You Won't Want to Miss Them
Speaking of workshops, Amador Government #101, a workshop for the residents of Amador County
is being offered to all residents. These
workshops are an effort to
allow citizens an opportunity to hear how our local government works directly
from the mouths of the folks who run it.
On suggestion from the County Administrative Officer,
Terri Daly, the idea and an outline was presented to the county Administrative
Committee last month and was approved by that committee. The public is welcome
to attend just one, or all five of the workshops for FREE. Workshops are
scheduled on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting on September 26th. Workshops presentations begin at 6:30 p.m.
and end at 8:30 p.m. An open public
question and answer period will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.mPresentations
from Department Directors for local governments around the county will be ten
to fifteen minutes. The goal of the workshop is to at least allow the public an
opportunity to see an overview of County government and meet the fellow
residents/County employees, who make it work.
