While crews in Jackson fought the fire, Battalion 20 Fire crews were called, along with CalFire, to a single vehicle collision on Michigan Bar Rd in the Ione area. The vehicle driven by 58 year old Virginia Sy of Sacramento left the road way, overturning in a field. The eastbound lane of the roadway was blocked for a short time as emergency crews tended to the driver who had only minor injuries. According to CHP Officer Frank Peixoto the driver was wearing her seatbelt and that drastically lessened her injuries.
