Morning Fire Destroys Historic Jackson Home
9-11 was more than just a day of remembrance here in Amador County.
Emergency Crews were called into action yesterday morning around 7, with
reports of a structure fire at 403 Court Street in Jackson. Emergency personel closed Court Street for
some time while multiple fire agencies responded. Here’s Jackson Fire Capt
Frank Tremaine. The resident Louis Sarracino was awoken by abrubt yelling
and shouting to “Get out,” and “fire!”. The cause of the fire is under
investigation however, according to Jackson City Asst Fire Chief Dale Fishback,
the fire did start in the upstairs of the home.
