A deer once again has caused an injury accident in the upcountry.

slide12 Last night after dark this red ford truck was traveling on Hwy 26 about 2 miles from Hwy 88 when, according to a passenger in the truck, a deer darted across the road. The vehicle directly in front of the truck slammed on its brakes to avoid the deer and the truck unable to stop hit the rear of the SUV causing considerable damages to the front of the truck and injuries to the truck’s driver. The SUV then fled the scene of the accident without stopping. The driver of the red pick up was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital by the American legion Ambulance service.
