As ordered under the requirements for a CFD a special election was held. Property owners with in the CFD authorized CAO Patrick Blacklock and Amador Fire Protection District Chief Jim McCart to finalize the results of the special election at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. The Board clerk counted the ballots for the special election and it was determined that the CFD passed unanimously. The Board then adopted a resolution establishing the CFD providing for the levy of a Special Tax to finance emergency services.
They also passed resolutions calling the special mailed ballot as required for the establishment of a Community Facilities District and determining the result of the special election. And finally they adopted an ordinance levying the special tax for the Fiscal year of 2007-2008 and the following fiscal years solely within the CFD for fire protection services.
