Testimony In Youth Minister Intern Case Graphic In Nature
Former Youth Minister Intern John Magsayo was in court
Friday, nearly all day, as his new attorney Robert Schell of Jackson and the
District Attorney’s lawyer wrangled over the meanings of several different
sexual terms. Magsayo was charged with lewd acts with a
minor 15 years of age; oral copulation with a minor under the age of 18; oral
copulation with a minor under the age of 16; and contributing to the
delinquency of a minors after he was arrested by the Amador County Sheriffs
Department after being discovered with the girls on Electra Rd on December 17th. Amador County Sheriff’s Department

Oulihon testified that he had interviewed one of the three teenage girls,
referenced in the case by only their initials.
Oulihon had interviewed a
16 year old girl from Calaveras County that stated she was being driven home by
Magsayo from a youth group activity Sunday December 17th. They were
accompanied by two other teenage girls in a van owned by the local Church. The
foursome eventually stopped at Box Beach located off of Electra Rd and Magsayo
and at least two of the girls began drinking some Jagermeister alcoholic
beverage brought by one of the girls. It was after the consumption of the
alcohol that there was alleged sexual contact between Magsayo and two of the
girls. According to Ouilhon the girl stated to him that she and the other girl
were aggressive with Magsayo and that he initially stated “no, no, no” when
touched by the girls. The balance of the testimony including the initial
examination and the cross examination, cross cross examinations and cross cross
cross examination which was about what some graphic sexual terms meant to the
girls, Magsayo and the investigating officers. In the end the matter was
continued to a future date
