The driver of the Honda was transported to Sutter Amador Hospital and her two children, a young infant and a 6 year old were transported to UC Davis via air ambulance. The accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

Head On Collision Yesterday Kills One
Yesterday afternoon around two o’clock a head on collision closed both Ridge Rd and New York Ranch Rd. The fatal accident involved a Chevy Cavalier and a Honda CRV both registered out of Pine Grove. According to witnesses on scene, the accident occurred, when for unknown reasons, one vehicle, the Chevy crossed into oncoming traffic just east of Bates Rd. near Ridgeview Court striking the Honda head on.
