This display of appreciation after Chief Blankenheim notified her that the chimney fire in her home had been held to damaging just the area around the chimney itself. This was due to the quick response of both Amador Fire Protection District Battalion 10 and CDF firefighters. A potential disaster was minimized to just minimal damage around the chimney and the wood stove piping in the attic of woman’s new home.
