Last night after 8 pm an accident occurred on Upper Jackson Valley Rd in the Jackson Valley area. The accident resulted in the fatality of a motorcyclist. According to the CHP cad log several other motorists stopped to help the motorcyclist and upon arrival of emergency personnel life saving measures were begun including the summoning of an air ambulance to the scene. At 8:37 pm the person involved in the accident was declared dead and the Amador County Sheriff’s Corner was called to the scene. This is the fourth fatality of the calendar year 2007. So far in this year we have had two traffic fatalities in the month of January and now two fatalities in the month of February.
