Now it’s time for TSPN’s Home for the Holidays series – featuring fun, free or low cost activities for the whole family to enjoy right here in Amador County, now through New Years Day! Here’s a look at activities coming up this week:

Attention Parents! Merzlak Signs will personalize your child’s Christmas gift at absolutely no charge. Call 223-4818 or bring your child’s gift to 215 Sutter Street in Jackson before Christmas.

You can help keep someone warm this winter by donating new, or slightly used in good condition and clean coats, to the UpcountryCommunity Center in Pine Grove, or the Elks Lodge in Martell, by Friday, December 14th.

Amador County Community Band presents its free “Celebration of Christmas” concert on Friday, December 14, at 7 pm, in the Sutter Creek Theatre, 44 Main Street, Sutter Creek. The 25-piece band and orchestra will perform many holiday favorites such as “White Christmas,” plus traditional carols and Broadway tunes. For more information, contact the following websites:  www.acccband,org; www.suttercreektheatre.com and www.suttercreek.org.

Sutter Creek will hold its very 1st Christmas "Parade of Lights", Saturday, December 15th at 5:30 PM Downtown Sutter Creek. If you want to enter the parade, anything can be decorated with lights...cars, trucks, bikes, even people walking! The only rule is that EVERYTHING has to have Christmas Lights on it.  Be creative; let your imagination run wild! All entries are FREE for this 1st year.  The parade will go on, rain or shine, so be prepared! For information, contact Toni Linde at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Annual Children’s Christmas Pageant will be held this year at the Rancheria on Sunday, December 16 from Noon till 2pm.  Tickets are free and the performance takes place in the Grand Oak Ballroom at the hotel. The Christmas Pageant features a variety of local youth performers. Kids will also have the opportunity to visit with Santa. Bring your camera for this great family photo opportunity.

Preceptor Nu Omega Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is doing free gift wrapping at K-Mart on Saturday and Sunday, December 15th and 16th from 10AM to 5PM. Donations will also be accepted for the Cancer Van.
