Now here’s a creative idea to make Halloween
more fun and easier on the pocketbook. Jackson Girl Scout Troop 360 has planned a Halloween Costume Exchange for
Monday, October 8th in the Jackson Elementary School
cafeteria. Costumes for the whole family – infants to adults -- are
being collected for Monday night’s event. Families are invited to come to the
costume exchange and find costumes for the big night – and it’s all free – no
charge, no donation required.
Troop leader Tracy Welch says the Girl Scout
troop has organized the event as a public service project that they hope will
become an annual community tradition. Of course, for the exchange to work,
costume donations are needed, so gather up your unwanted Halloween costumes and
accessories like hats, boots, swords and masks. If you have costumes to donate,
you can bring them with you on Monday the 8th but it’s not required.
Costumes can also be dropped
off this week in the Jackson Elementary
school lobby or at Different Philosophies Salon at 246 French Bar Road.

good time on Halloween!
