Peace Officer of the Year and Citizen of the Year Awards Presented

He is an active member of a statewide law
enforcement leadership program, and is currently working on a Sheriff’s
department program to teach communications and leadership skills to
employees. Al Lennox, president of American Legion Ambulance
Service, was honored as Citizen of the Year. Lennox was recognized for
his many years of community involvement and support. Lennox runs the local
chapters of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as the
county’s well-known ambulance service. He also participates in the local
Emergency Medical Care Committee and has facilitated the donations medical
equipment and vehicles to local law enforcement agencies and Amador County
Search and Rescue. The Peace Officers Association held a banquet in honor of
both men Saturday night – congratulations to Charles Ray and Al Lennox from
TSPN.
