Amador Government 101 Workshops Scheduled

AN INNOVATIVE WORKSHOP SERIES IS BEING OFFERED, RIGHT HERE IN THE COUNTY, BY DECISION AND POLICY MAKERS TO HELP THE GENERAL PUBLIC BETTER UNDERSTANDS AMADOR COUNTY GOVERNMENT. AMADOR GOVERNMENT #101, A WORKSHOP FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY IS AN EFFORT TO ALLOW LOCAL CITIZENS AN OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR HOW OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT WORKS DIRECTLY FROM THE MOUTHS OF THE FOLKS WHO RUN IT.  THE  SUGGESTION FOR THE WORKSHOPS COMES FROM COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, TERRI DALY.

AT DALY’S PROMPTING THE IDEA AND AN OUTLINE FOR THE WORKSHOPS WAS PRESENTED TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE LAST MONTH AND THE CONCEPT WAS THEN APPROVED FOR PRESENTATION TO THE PUBLIC.  THE WORKSHOP LOCATIONS ARE AT THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER WITH THE PUBLIC WELCOME TO ATTEND JUST ONE OR ALL FIVE OF THE WORKSHOPS FOR ABSOLUTELY FREE. WORKSHOPS ARE SCHEDULED ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH STARTING ON SEPTEMBER 26TH.  WORKSHOPS PRESENTATIONS BEGIN AT 6:30 P.M. AND END AT 8:30 P.M.  AN OPEN PUBLIC QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD WILL BE HELD FROM 8:30 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. VARIOUS CITY AND COUNTY DEPARTMENTS HAVE BEEN GROUPED TOGETHER AS LOGICALLY AS POSSIBLE.  PRESENTATIONS FROM DEPARTMENT DIRECTORS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE COUNTY WILL BE TEN TO FIFTEEN MINUTES. THE GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP IS TO AT LEAST ALLOW THE PUBLIC AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE AN OVERVIEW OF COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND MEET THE FELLOW RESIDENTS/COUNTY EMPLOYEES, WHO MAKE IT WORK.
