Sutter Creek Police Department Announces They Have Arrested A Parolee At Large
Written by
The Sutter Creek Police Dept. has announced that
the search for a parolee at large has come to an end with the man safely taken into
custody and booked at the Amador Co. Jail. At approximately 10pm on Monday March 26th,
Jerry Wayne Locklear was arrested in the backyard of a residence in the City of
Sutter Creek. Locklear was being sought for violating the terms of his
parole out of San Joaquin County, and was being sought for questioning by the
Sutter Creek Police Dept. in regards to a domestic violence incident which had
occurred on Saturday March 10th in the City of Sutter Creek.
At the time of the arrest, Locklear was found to
be in possession of a large amount of a controlled substance, a large amount of
money, and a radio scanner. Since the incident that occurred on March 10th,
Wanted Posters of Locklear had
been distributed to several locations in Sutter Creek, Martell, and Jackson.
Local law enforcement received numerous tips from citizens and
businesses regarding possible locations and sightings of Locklear, but law
enforcement had been able to track down Locklear’s location. It is believed
that Locklear had been able to keep track of the location of law enforcement
due to the possession of the radio scanner. According to the press release no
one was injured during the course of the arrest, and Locklear was taken to the
Amador County Jail without incident.
