Jackson City Fire Numbers Show Dramatic Increase In Calls

Jackson City Fire remained
busy in November with no signs of slow down for this holiday season.
In November Jackson Fire
responded to 11 fire related calls, 13 traffic accidents, 52 medical calls, one Hazardous
material call and 8 public assists. The total number of calls – 85-
that’s an average of 2.8 per day. The running yearly total also shows a
dramatic increase in calls for 2006 above 2005 numbers. This year, so far, the Jackson Fire Department
has responded to 790 calls and that is a 20 percent increase over 2005.
