Upon investigation he discovered an Ione man, identified as Alexander Weiner, helping himself to some used tires from the back of the store. When asked by Dobler about his actions Weiner stated he had permission to take the tires. Weiner was detained by Officer Dobler until the arrival of Jackson Police Officer Victor Capaz. Weiner then changed his story, telling Officer Capaz that he had no money and needed tires, and that he did not have permission to be at the tire store. Weiner was then arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail.
