Calaveras County Busts Another Pot Farm
Narcotics Investigators from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office
seized 27-hundred marijuana plants in an early morning raid near Mountain Ranch
Thursday. The raid took place at West Muray Creek Rd. and Doster Rd. Investigators
described the cultivation location as three different gardens that were 30 yards
apart and connected by trails.
Investigators said the marijuana plants ranged
in size from one foot to 5 feet tall. Calaveras Officials say the suspects had
constructed a makeshift dam in a nearby creek using tarps. The suspects then used
the makeshift dam as a water source for the marijuana plants. The suspects were
not located at the grow site but Investigators found two tents and other items
indicating the suspects had been living at that location. This latest seizure for
Calaveras County law Enforcement bringing the total number of marijuana plants
for the record setting season to 30-thousand plants.
