Amador Transportation Commission Talks Bridges, Bypass, and Ingress/Egress

He said that Cal-trans did not want a “temporary
fix” to the situation, and that hopefully they would have some answers in the
spring of next year. The committee also discussed the construction of new
sidewalks in the City of Sutter Creek, in order to comply with the standards of
the American’s with Disabilities Act. The committee did motion to approve a new
resolution and appendix for the Regional Transportation Plan. Amador County Transportation
Committee Planner Sean Rabe’, gave a presentation on the Plan, in which he drew
attention to a county traffic infrastructure that is not keeping pace with
recent development. The new resolution
included an increase in Regional Traffic Mitigation fees as well as a Fair
Share payment that will be paid by individuals building new homes in the
county.
