The Gold Rush Ranch project proposes 1,334 single family homes, a 60 room resort hotel, 300 vacation ownership units, and over 300 acres of oak-covered conservation and open space preserve with a publicly accessible trails system. The Specific Plan for the Gold Rush Ranch and Golf Resort project has been submitted to the City of Sutter Creek. The City held two public map showings on January 22, 2006 which provided the public a chance to review the maps and ask the project team questions about the Plan. Over 100 members of the Sutter Creek community participated in the map showing.
The current joint workshop series offers an opportunity for the public and city decision makers to discuss the many issues and concerns surrounding the largest development ever proposed for Amador County. Tuesday’s workshop will focus on the proposed General Plan and Zoning Ordinance Amendments. The meeting will start at 7 pm in the Sutter Creek Community Building at 33 Church Street, Sutter Creek.

Gold Rush Ranch Workshop to be Held Tuesday
Tuesday night’s Joint Sutter Creek City Council
and Planning Commission
Workshop is the second in a series of discussions on the Gold Rush Ranch and
Golf Resort. The Gold Rush Ranch Master-Planned Community is a proposed
golf, resort and 12 new residential neighborhoods over approximately 945 acres.
It consists of the 833-acre Noble Ranch parcel and the 112-acre Allen Ranch
parcel. About 612 acres are within Sutter Creek’s city limits and 333 are in
the county unincorporated area.
