The project site is approximately 4 acres located on the corner of Dalton Road and Jackson Highway 88.  Dalton Road, a 2-mile corridor constructed by the Tribe which opened last year, provides access to development on the Rancheria while at the same time alleviating traffic to and from the casino on surrounding neighborhood streets. The gas station and general store is a natural extension of the Rancheria’s ongoing development. The event will include the ceremonial first shovels of dirt refreshments, and renderings of the completed project. A federally recognized Indian tribe, the Jackson Rancheria Band of Mi-wuk Indians is a sovereign government and receives dedicated to developing projects that not only enhance their ability to remain self reliant, but are consistent with a commitment to be a good neighbor. Completion of the facility is expected in mid-March 2008.
