On 05/18/2014, San Andreas Area CHP Officers were dispatched to a traffic collision with an ambulance responding. Upon arriving on scene, officers found that a single motorcycle rider had lost control, and traveled down a steep and rocky embankment. Amador Fire Protection District responded to 143 incidents during April2014. The incidents included 3 structure fires & 5 wildland fires. 110 ofthese incidents (76%) were medical aid/rescue related. 41% of the incidentsoccurred between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Amador County - Caltrans has certified a 9.8-mile segment of State Route 49 (SR-49), from SR-88 to SR-16, as a Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA) highway.
