JACKSON, CA- Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort welcomes country music superstar Josh Turner to the Grand Oak Ballroom stage on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 7 p.m.
One of the youngest members inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, Josh Turner is known for his traditional blue-grass inspired country music and deep baritone voice. His debut album Long Black Train was released in 2003, followed by his first platinum album, Your Man, in the beginning of 2006. His song, “Would You Go With Me,” topped the country charts at No. 1, reached No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and earned Turner two Grammy nominations.
Since his success with his first two albums, Turner has released three more: Everything is Fine in late 2007 with his hit “Firecracker,” Haywire in 2009 with the lead-off single “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” and his newest album Punching Bag in 2012. When asked about his newest album title, Josh said, “I wanted to express the idea that life is tough. You get a lot of punches thrown at you and a lot of times you’re not in control, but you have to take those punches and keep moving forward.” Because of the success of “Time is Love,” Punching Bag is already on the map, proving Josh is ready to come out swinging.
