Summary: Upon arrival of Amador Fire Protection District Engine 141 a well involved storage area and work shop was observed. Initial attack was focused on the moving truck located near the front of the building which had just ignited from the structure fire. The vehicle fire was extinguished and within minutes, numerous Amador Fire Protection District and CAL FIRE engines arrived on scene. A Defensive operation was initiated on the building due to the volume of the fire and the unsafe condition of the building. At the same time, an aggressive attack was initiated on the vegetation that had ignited near the rear of the building. The fire was contained to the original structure and a limited amount of vegetation. Estimated damage tot he the building $25,000, contents $10,000, and $5,000 damage to the box van. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Jackson Fire Department Engine 6333 provided cover for the Pine Grove area and Lockwood Engine 6180 provided cover to the Pioneer area and responded to a medical aid.
