The Amador County Historical Society is hosting the first of four 2015 public events on April 15th at 6:30pm at the Hein & Company Bookstore in the Sherlock Holmes library. Open to the public at no charge, the Society event has scheduled Debbie Cook, a noted local historian and train enthusiast to speak on the history of the railroad in Amador County. She will also detail the events which led to the preservation of the railroad by the Historical Society and the Railroad Historical Society.
